Gates Recreation and Parks Department, in cooperation with the Gates Chili School District, the Gates Historical Society and the Gates Lions Club, are providing community members of all ages the opportunity to develop and create a historically themed mural at Gates Recreation and Parks Department’s Lions Park. Through input from all interested community members (youth and adults), a mural will be developed to be painted on a prominent outdoor wall of the shelter, providing an aesthetically pleasing addition to the leisure experience of those who visit this park. The project will culminate in a community-wide special event unveiling the mural and celebrating the Town of Gates.
