Want to teach your child how to golf but are not yet ready to invest in a set of clubs? Gates Recreation & Parks Department has 10 sets of youth golf clubs waiting for you! As a member of the “Sticks for Kids Program” offered through the National Recreation & Park Association, our goal is to introduce youth to the game of golf for a lifetime of fun, exercise and enjoyment. This equipment is available for loan free of charge with only a $50 deposit to guarantee its return. Please call the department at 247-6100, ext. 235 to check on availability and reserve your equipment. The length of the equipment loan is dependent on current golf programs. The Town of Gates Recreation & Parks Dept. has been chosen as one of a 100 Recreation & Parks Departments nationwide to receive 10 sets of youth golf clubs from the National Recreation & Park Association in partnership with the Golf Course Builders Association of America. Participants must complete a clinic to participate in this program. Transportation will be provided. Parent volunteers welcome.
