This daily activity offers a wide range of activities and experiences. We will provide children an opportunity to explore new activities along with past favorites. Activities may include: active games, quiet games, crafts, athletics, safety awareness and theme events. Each session will include a bus trip for an additional fee. A calendar of events and trips will be available at registration. Children may stay during the lunch hour but must bring their own lunch and beverage (no refrigeration available). You must register your child in the appropriate age group.
Our playground sites are all staffed with CPR and First Aid certified staff and we maintain a ratio of staff/participant based on ages of children. Our Recreation Supervisor, Cindy Vogler, APRP (Associate Park and Recreation Professional) certified by New York State Recreation & Park Society, oversees this program.
Each summer we strive to meet the needs of all participants and parents. Parents please be aware of our daily check in and pick up procedures. This is a safety policy. The Gates Recreation and Parks Department reserves the right to remove unruly or disruptive participants from the program or limit participation in some activities as deemed necessary. This is NOT a day camp program.
Note: We have Extended Care at Memorial Park for Armstrong, Lions and Memorial sites and at Westgate Park for Disney, Irving and Westgate sites. Space is limited. Some school sites may also have drop off changes due to construction this summer.
